Exclamation I don't know what to believe!!

I have a 55 plate Laguna 2l turbo . The displays on the dash are giving conflicting messages when I start up. The top one reads " oil ok" and the bottom reads "change oil soon". I have 6000 miles before my next service is due. Is this common? I suppose I should dip the oil to see if it is low but I have no leaks and no smoke in the exhaust.

Any suggestions,

Hi iam not sure about your year, car or model but i would guess one is saying your level is ok and the other telling you a oil service is due soon???

Just a guess though but if it was my car i would always dip my oil level myself as computers ecu 's do get it wrong from time to time

Cheers Donald
