Lots of help needed

Hello all.

Sorry if this in the wrong section, i am new and still learning the site layout, besides my clio needs so much help it is amazing.

My car is Clio 2004 1.2 5 door hatchback

First of all my horn has stopped working again, third time now costing a bomb, can somebody tell me is it possiable to re-wire the horn to a switch on the dash as the cable that joins to the switch on the steering wheel keeps snapping, also would pass its mot if i fitted a aftermarket horn?

next problem is can you sunroof lock be replaced thats broken and now leaks alot?

Finally where can i get a fag lighter from fist time i have ever seen it but the normal stand fit lighters dont fit to the plug where the old one came from?

Thanks in advance for any help

Hi there and welcome.

Since most of the problems are electrical in nature, I've moved your posting to a section which is most likely to obtain a swift and relevant reply.

Hope you get these issues sorted quickly at minimal cost/inconvenience.

Hello and welcome cdbils

Regarding the wiring for the horn. It shouldn't just break, especially three times? Who rewired it? Did they total rewire or just stretch and refit? If they did the latter I'd take it back and get them to do a proper job

Breakers yard would be the best bet for the sunroof lock. Type 'parts gateway' into google. There you will find many a site that, for free, will sne dyour request for a part to breakers all over the country. They, in turn, send you back a price, if they've got the part.

I can only suggest eBay for the cigar lighter!

Years and years ago I had the same problem with the lighter, only the one's supplied by Renault will fit, @ that time they cost + 40.

Your options are a complete change to a standard non Renault lighter, or hope you can come across one in a scrapper.

BTW I fail to understand how Renault have fixed your horn twice and now out of the blue have decided that you need a 95 part, I'd be asking them what the part is, also why were the so inept at missing the requirement of this part on your prior visits.
