service warning light on?? 2003 laguna initiale, HELP!!!!
hi im new to the world of renaults, and as of thursday just gone i am now the owner of a very nice 2003 laguna initiale, a1 condition inside and out. im very happy with the car there just a few niggly things that are beggining to really wind me up.
1st thing is that the sat nav will not turn on. this is not really a big thing as i have a sat nav already its just that the screen is blank and i cant tell which station im on time, date, etc, anyone give me any pointers on how to get it working again??
secondly which is the thing that is really winding me up is that the service light is on. at first i assumed it just needed a service but upon closer inspection it does not need another service for another 17,800 miles, so i came on the forum and found out that it means there is a fault somewhere.
so i got my rac man to come out and he had a look over the car for a good hour and came back said there was nothing wrong with the car mechanically.
so i started thinking it could be to do with the sat nav not working and the aircon needing re-gassing, would these small faults keep the service light on or have i missed something???
is there away of getting the service message off as it is always on??
all comments are very much appreciated, i must say though other then these stupid niggly things i am very much enjoying owning the car, done 400 miles this weekend to see relatives and it was like sitting on my settee not for a second was i uncomfortable!!! well done renault!!!!!
THANKS Dean (very happy new renault owner)sort of!!
