Imobiliser (and other things) failure???

When I went to start the car this morning, it just cranked without firing. I noticed the imobiliser light was still flashing - suggesting that the imobiliser was still active (used same key as I always have) and then I also notices that the indicators, wipers & electric windows didn't work either!

Any ideas where to start looking!!!!

Cheers in advance, Nez

I had exactly the same thing happen to me a few months back, luckily I've got RAC recovery and I got them to take the car to a local auto electrician/mechanic. They told me that there was something wrong with the immobiliser wiring and charged me 85. After that, every time I start the car I need to wait until the immobiliser light goes out which I never used to. Then last week the same thing happened but the light went off this time! The car eventually started and I looked on this forum and discovered it could be the TDC sensor. I took the sensor out and cleaned it and things have been (touch wood) fine ever since. I'd try the TDC sensor first as it costs nothing to do!!
