Limp home

Laguna II 1.8 dimonique 16 valve. This is my first post,for some months now my car has been having this limp home problem, some times the car is fine for a few weeks,a few days,a couple of months Then Limp gimp returns
The car has been on several diagnostic machines only to return a verdict of NO PROBLEMS? The car is in yet again in the morning,only this time the engine management & service yellow lights are showing up on the dash.But once i leave the garage i know the Limp gimp will re-surface No revs, coil warning light. Can someone help Pleeeeeeeease

If the management and service light is illuminated then the ECU will have registered a fault and proper diagnostic kit should be able read what it is.

Agreed, never thought of that earlier presh. Make sure the garage are using the correct diagnostic equipment. Ask them what they are using and what codes it will read. Some codes are generic and can be read by hand held machine that anyone can get off of eBay for 50 but there are also Renault specific codes that these 'cheap' scanners will not read.

Perhaps this is why the garage haven't found a fault yet!!
