I Hope This Helps!

See: towbar wiring

I agree with with madnoel10....
Also, having fitted a towbar to a 1998 Laguna 1 Estate and wired up 12N & 12S sockets, I know you do not need any special wiring kit; unless you are towing a caravan and want the foglights NOT to light up the front of the caravan at using a socket fitted with a foglight cutout...8-core cable

Forget the wiring colours. They're totally unreliable.

You can figure out most of the connections simply by examining the bulb holder. As the brake/side light bulb is dual function, you'll still have to check this out with a multimeter or 12v test lamp.

If the fog lights are in the boot lid (I forget on the Lag I estate) then you'll probably find the wires on a multiplug behind the boot liner. Again, you'll need a multimeter or test lamp to confirm. As I recall (it was over a decade ago) the wiring runs up the left hand side of the car. I actually tapped into the loom in the passenger footwell, but with hindsight, it makes more sense to trace it through to the boot.
