It's not clear from your post whether your car's an Espace III or IV.

Just in case it's a IV, then the head unit is not under the seat but in the boot, piggy backed on the CD changer. It does have an Aux input, which I've used to feed my iPod through. Works fine.

See here for info...

and also here

for a neat trick using a CD-Rom cable to connect.

Hi Archie, slightly off-thread I know but with reference to your TomTom 910 ... does your Espace have a heat reflective windscreen ? If so what is the reception like ? or are you using an external antenna.

The new chipset in the X10 TomToms is susposed to work with heat reflective screens, and I wondered how you were getting on?

Any feedback appreciated

Before you take the seat out, have a look behind the rear mounted CD changer (N/S rear quarter panel).
On my Espace (same mod on an 05 plate) the radio head is accessed by taking the CD changer out (2 screws), and then the bit with the wires in it is the head unit. This is confirmed by the feed from CD changer to Head unit going in here, and there is also the AUX in (was all RCA phono plugs in my day - but they are all smaller now so have to get an adapter).

No seats to take out, but the drive + play unit needs extra wiring to get the iPod unit at the front of the car.
