clio 2004 1.2 D4F ecu cover removal

Hopefully someone can help before I resort to using an angle grinder to sort the issue.............

How do I remove the overengineered security cover on my Clio? Its 2004 model and the ECU is located directly behind the Battery. What a pig!!!!!

So far I have sussed that you need to wedge it away at the back from the bottom but it still wont release.

anyone help????????

we used to put a block of wood near the strut and try to crow bar it off.

Lately we have put a 1mm disc in the angle grinder and cut the cap in half.
