It has to be some sort of wiring issue. On the lag if the immo is not disengaging it will still crank the engine, just no start(no spark). At least that's how it is on my 99 lag. Easy to identify an immobiliser fault as if it doesn't disengage the immo light will flash rapidly. If it -is- an immo fault, try the areal around the ingition key. A fairly common failure point with it's connectors.
Theoretically it could also be a connection problem with the
whereas it wouldn't recieve the immo signal, hence why you can bump-start it. But that still wouldn'T explain why it doesn't crank properly.
Oh and it wouldn't engage if the immo didn't disengage. It cranks but will not start for even a second. (tried with a blipless key)
