heater fan/engine bay fuses

My heater fan is not working in my 04 laguna. I also developed some other small problems( no speedo, abs light on and more). It turned out I had a blown fuse in the engine bay , one of the large brown70A fuses. When i removed the blown fuse all of the problems except the fan not working went away. I'm trying to find out what the fuse is for in order to find a solution to my fan problem.

advice required

Did you have any luck fixing the heater on your Laguna? I have a 2003 Laguna and the heater blowers will not work at all. I replaced the unit, it worked for a little while then stopped working again. The rear windscreen demister works fine and the a/c lights come on, so there is power getting to the unit and i can feel some heat coming from the vents after a while but the fans/blowers will not work at all. I have checked the fuses at the end of the dashboard and they are all fine - is there a fuse under the bonnet connected to the heating? I am reluctant to touch these as i dont have a clue! Any help or advice would be appreciated.
Many thanks,
