Red face Clio...Fog-Light's!

Hello All,
I have a 'Renault Clio 1.4 rt, 4Door, N-Reg. (1996.)

The front bumper mounted fog-lights are passed it (The reflective backing has corroded and flaked away!) and I want to replace them! What I'd like to know is:

*Will only genuine renault replacements work/fit or are there any aftermarket/sexier looking fog light units out there?

* Any idea of cost?

Regard's All!

Years ago, a friend of mine had this happen with the headlights on his Saab 900. The reflectors were so bad that they were next to useless. It was a trait of the car, so replacements were like rocking horse muck. One Saab specialist recommended spraying the reflectors with chrome paint - he reckoned with care, you could get a decent (though not perfect) finish.

We never actually tried it, as we eventually sourced a reasonable set of reflectors. It could be worth a try before you splash out on new lamps though. All it's going to cost you is the price of a tin of chrome paint.

you could also try a breakers yard to get some cheap replacements.
