Could be an extra part of loom wiring for, for example, memory seats if you don't already have them fitted?

Cool Plug

Hi Jamie R
Sorry you've had so many problems with your Lag. I know I'ts probably a bit of a cheek but in an earlier post you said you bought the car at an auction but you didn't say how much? Regarding the plug or socket you found can you say
exactly where it is, front or rear. If its anything to do with the seatbelt warning lights then I would imagine that this is also connected to the voice synth which would tell you that your seatbelt is not fastened. I agree with Selwonk that it could be a left over bit for electric seat settings but from the pic I can't really tell where abouts it is situated. I'm giving my car a good old clean out at the weekend prior to a trip to France so if you let me know wether it it is passenger or driver side, front or rear and I'll have a good look around and see if there is a similar piece of kit
Regards Leroy
PS your avatar looks like a little Devil, is this really you ?

Could be for a cd changer? Quite a few cars have cd changers mounted under seats. Although it doesn't look like there are enough wires for that!

Could be to do with side airbags and/or seat belt pre-tensioners!

Hey some good suggestions. I am having loads of problems with the car (not too serious) but i cant't moan too much for 260. Its only meant to be a temp car but i'd rather gets things sorted, might even keep it.

The wire is situated under the driver seat, prob not all that important

cheers jamie
