Hi there,

Quick answer is No, you can't Not manually anyway. Makes sense I know!

The way to do it is this:

Don't maually lock the car doors.

When leaving the car close all the doors.

Open one of the rear doors and lean in and press the button on the centre console to lock all the doors and boot.

Close the rear door. This doesn't work if the front doors are open, it'll just trip the system and unlock again, has to be done through the back door.

To get back in the car just unlock the passenger door via the emergency key.

Hope this helps.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall.
Torque is how far you take the wall with you.

Unhappy Re: Can you manually lock laguna 2 boot?

We have tried this method of manually locking the car but the boot does not lock, has this happened to anyone else or is another fault with the car? We have already purchased a replacment keycard at 95 but Renault are saying that the car immobiliser will not recognise the new code when they go to re-programme the new key, they want another 65 to put it through a diagnostic machine. Any suggestions?

Re: Can you manually lock laguna 2 boot?

This worked for me. It seems obvious in retrospect but in the rain and dark I followed the manual's instructions to lock the doors by turning the manual lock inside the door, which doesn't help with the hatchback lock.
