Rear Speakers Renault Megane Scenic

Hi, i was wondering if anyone could help me, i have tried searching this on google and other search engines, but i havent came up trumps. I then found this site (btw its a great site) and thought maybe i will find the answer.

Here is my dilema...
The missus has a renault megane scenic R reg. However she wants some speakers fitting into the rear of the car, however i have searched for standard speakers in the rear to replace them, but i cannot find any. My question is, do these cars have rear speakers? Or would i have to run a new feed in the back to accept the speakers she wants me to put in?
Any help is much appreciated guys, Thanks in advanced.

There are a number of things you should check out first and foremost.
Firstly have you checked if there are speakers fitted in the rear - it may be possible their volume has been turned down. You would need to check if wiring is fitted by having a look inside the speaker housings. Also is the radio capable of driving rear speakers - does it have appropriate connections or controls.
From memory I belive the rear speakers to be 5.25" diameter so any decent equivalent after-market units should fit.

Thumbs up

Hi, madnoel10, thank you for your reply. I have checked the usual places, i.e plastics under/either side of the parcel shelf and rear door cards and cannot find any, the weird thing is, is i cannot find any speaker housings to hold the speakers anyway! lol. The after market speakers i have got, are about 5" diameter. The radio is a standard factory one however without pulling it out i havent got a clue weather it is geard up to take rear speakers, i might have to give it a look tbh. Thanks for your reply

Go through the settings on the head unit, find the balance setting. If there's a fade setting after it, then I would think it can take rear speakers
