All hell breaks loose when ignition key turned.

Hi Everyone.

I have a 2000 plate automatic scenic alize.

When I put the ignition key in and turn it the dash goes crazy - all sorts of light start to flicker coming and going with no rhyme or reason. Sometimes it settles down after a few seconds and the lights appear to be normal, most of the time it doesn't. It just sits there flashing and clicking. I can also hear various solenoids/relays clicking on and off rapidly, and the gear lever won't move. It dies completely if you try to turn it over.

It was sat out in the rain yesterday afternoon and my first thought was that water must have gotten in somewhere.

Has anybody else ever experienced anything similar? - Does water sound like it could be the cause? Where would be the best place to look for water causing this sort of an issue?

Any and all help would be appreciated.

Poor voltgae supply will cause the problems you describe. I suggest you have the battery and its connections checked out first and foremost.
