Clio II Alarm...

I've had my car for about a year and I've just realised that I have never heard my alarm go off before...

I am now wondering...

a) does it have one (surely!)
b) if so where is it?
c) How can I test it with without beating the crap out of my car.
d) do I care?

Any help will be appreciated...

if its got an alarm it will have the ultrasonic sensors near to the front door pillars. If it has you could zap the car with key fob, leave a few mins and then open the door with the key to see if alarm goes off.

Neither of our Clio Dynamiques came with a factory fitted alarm. They might have been standard further up the range, but to be honest, I think the alarm was an optional extra across the entire range.

The car has a good immobiliser, which will prevent the car itself from being stolen. An alarm will provide some degree of protection for the contents, but still won't deter the opportunist 'smash and grab' thief.

Our 05 does not have one and dont think they were
fitted as standard, they do have a immobiliser that jugging
by this forum many would be happy to do without.

Who would design a vehicle that falls over when you stop?

If you find a fix for your problem please let us know it will help others.
