I'm not sure that the keys you can buy on
are any good, there are a few posts on here concerning these and as yet there have not been any positive remarks.
I bought one for my Laguna(yes,I know I should have known better....),and when it arived it was the wrong key even though it was advertised as one that would be suitable.I still have it,and you are more than welcome to try it if you want!!.(PM me your address and I'll send it FOC!).
All your supposed to have to do is swap the metal blades over and have it reprogrammed to the central locking control, but I'm not convinced it's that simple.....
You could try a Auto Lock specialist and see if they can supply a new key any cheaper. Some have the equipment to reprogramme keys, and I suspect they would be a lot cheaper than a genuine Renault one.
Hope this helps.
I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
