Unhappy Hello and mileage jump

Hi all,

Thought I would ask all of your advice! I have a Laguna II Tourer and the mileage jumped from 102,000 to 204,000 after being a reputable (independent) garage. As far as they are aware, they only disconnected the battery to change the clutch. I know this isn't a miles to km jump, since it's too high. Has anyone else suffered from this?

According to Renault, it requires the entire intrument panel to be repaced, with mileage at zero to teh tune of 500. I'm pretty worried about re-sale value, how am I going to explain that!

Wow! Thats a good one! Erm, I guess you could back it up with old MOT certs and service history etc. Have you tried disconnecting the battey again?

I think I would be afraid of doing that just in the event that next time I ended up with 408,000 miles.
