Kangoo Wiring Loom

I am about to try and wire up a lighting board for my bike carrier. I have ordered the parts (a wiring kit and some scotch locks). The people at Towsure assure me this is an easy job - simply use the scotch locks to connect the appropriate coloured cables into the wiring loom.

Are they correct - is this straightforward.

Where do I find the wiring loom? Are all wires colour coded?

Which wires are which?

What could go wrong!!?

Any help much appreciated.

Wiring in a towbar is a straight foward job,as long as you take your time and double check everything.

The feeds you'll need are from the back lights, and you should be able to get all the feeds from side, apart from the opposite side indicator. The best way to find the feeds is with a test light.i.e if you need a feed for a sidelight, switch the sidelights on and check to see which wire is live, then switch the lights off to double check you have the right feed.Tap into this wire with a scotch lock to the appropriate coloured wire in the multi core cable that comes with the kit.

The best thing to do is wire up the socket first, then run the wire inside to the light feeds.

Good luck, and let us know how it goes.

I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
