Wink Boot lock (central locking)

Thought i would give you all the benefit of a recent problem i had to attend to for a friend of mine . His wife has a megane sport `T`reg 1.6 , the boot would not lock with the central locking , needles to say she only found out when a laptop got nicked out of it anyway cut a long story short found the white wire broken in wiring loom where it disappears into rear of car under the rear speaker n/s.If you trace the loom down the rear boot hinge you will see loom where it goes through into back of car , loom is rather tight , also found another broken wire in same place for rear fog lamps , so they did not work either , could soon be a common problem.Anyway just be vigilant when locking your car , ensure button on boot waggles when you lock it.
