Question Tourer tailgate lock problems

Hi, Got a problem with my tailgate locks on my 03 Initiale Tourer.

Central locking opens all doors but not tailgate or rear windscreen. When I checked the wiring with a volt meter, the release switches are grounding fine and there appears to be power going to both lock motors.

This happened once before when I washed the car.

Any help would be most appreciated because climbing into boot through the back seats is like the Krypton Factor !!

This could be down to corrosion/water ingress into the switches. It is a fairly well known problem on earlier Laguna II models. As it has happened after washing the car I am pretty sure this is your problem.
It can usually be fixed quite easily by gaining access to the switch, cleaning the contacts and spraying with wd40 type spray.
If you do a search on the forum there are probably some more detailed instructions on how to do this, as it has been mentioned before.

I have exactly the same problem, mostly in the winter. It is water in the switch that opens the whole tailgate in my case.
