Thanks, will go buy a multimeter. I've also added a couple of pics if its of any help?

Just been out and checked now, no unusual noise when turning on the ac other than what you'll expect. No whine from belts or anything like that. Cat radiator fan is a bit noisy, but that only because I head my head right next to it when it came on
