Oil ? Will that stop it going? Anyway - checking is trivial.

I've always been doing that - the fob has never worked.

What's involved in a reset?
Will try disconnecting battery.
Shouldn't make it worse.
Slightly considering the 'nuclear option' - MegaSquirt - Electronic Fuel Injection Computer by Bowling & Grippo * * 2005 Roll my own ECU .

My last couple of cars have both had expensive to fix immobiliser problems.
It'd be nice to be able to know that I'd at least caused a problem.
