Re: change rear pads with electronic hand brake
First thing to find out is what type of EPB you have.
Two possibles I know of, Cable driven from a Black Box somewhere round the back axle
Other is Electrically driven from actuators on the calipers.
If the latter, you need a brake specialist or garage with the plug in electronic hand set to drive the calipers back and reset
If the first, I assume similar to scenic.
Manually release handbrake once car is in the air and chocked.
Open up calipers, remove old pads
Wind back piston (special tool is best...generic wind back tools readily available)
DO NOT force piston back
Clean up caliper as needed
Fit new pads (copper slip on rear and contact points)
Pump pistons forward on foot pedal before reconnecting battery and operating handbrake.
I tend to take lid of fluid reservoir and tuck an old towel around it incase of fluid overflow when turning back pistons
I've had to bleed brakes every time I've changed pads on mine, seems to get air in when pistons go back.
If another type, sorry, dunno
