We paint these at work (no Reno i'm afraid). Some tips
1.Use a suitable primer
2.You'll get a ring around the edge of the sensor, Flat it down after primer coat with fine abrasive paper
3.Put on the base coat (if you want perfection you can repeat)
4.Put on the clear coat/laquer
5.Flat it down again very gently
It'll look matt but can be polished up to a perfect shine
6.polish (if using a high speed mop: be very careful because you'll go through the layer if not careful. (Give it to the kids as punishment instead)

Note: Some sensors DON'T work if the paint is too thick OR the sensor touches the side of the hole (you should have a silicone/rubber type ring on the outside
