Yes on the New megane there is actually a tech note for this problem. It instructs the dealer to "educate" the customer in the correct operating procedure of the boot unlock mechanism.
That instruction states that you must press the unlock button for 1 second or more to fully disegage the locking solenoid.
If you just momentarily press it 99 times out of 100 the boot will open/close OK. However sometimes the lock does not unlatch correctly which causes the boot not to close securly.
If this happens then press and hold the boot button for 3 seconds and it should clear.
