Most good locksmiths have a tester for both type of keys and can measure the signal strength coming from the key. Yeh it is possible for there to be blind spots where neither key will work properly - once heard of a situation where a remote wouldn't work close to a wire fence where the metal mesh was acting as a Faraday cage. One other was at an airport where there was an unusual amount of electronic traffic hogging the air waves. This can be particularly bad when close to military installatons or sensitive government buildings where these frequencies are being blocked for anti-terrorist purposes. So stay away from GCHQ and Faslane, etc.
Noel, have you been reading "www.theRegister.co.uk" about black helicopters, the alien invasion and satanic posessed Renaults ?
Worth a look
Why is it the older I get .... the better I think I was ?
