Sorry for the delayed response.
The Renault Immobiliser usually works by cutting the fuel pump,so it's not that causing the fault.Are there any signs that an aftermarket alarm system has ever been fitted?
Also,did the car start when the new
sensor was fitted?.It could be that you have a faulty sensor.
I'd rather push my Alfa than drive a BMW....
