Re: Should I buy a cheap scenic II?

Yes, as long as you have browsed a bit on here first.
Check BEFORE buying:-
TWO Keycards, check they work individually, (I got caught as they were proximity type & on the same ring).
Recent cambelt, water pump / (possibly Dephaser) change (should be done 5 years or 70K Miles, whichever sooner) Budget 500, more if petrol & rattles on start up or takes 2 attempts or more to start.
ANY water in footwells & cubbies especially passenger front. RUN away, portent of multitudinous electrical faults
ALL windows & sunroof works to full extent.
Clutches are usually high on this model, so hard to tell wear.
Check Display, no flashing or silly nags i.e Handbrake ABS, etc.
A diesel "expert" will be along soon with gory tales of DMF's, EGR 's, Turbo 's etc.
I prefer Petrol, all they need is Plugs Coils & oil changes.
BTW, I'm biased look in my Garage
