Re: Should I buy a cheap scenic II?

My 2d again, Our 1.6 gives Average 36-38. Seen 45 on a run. Diesel's fine if you do 200 mile days, but not if your trips are only to Tesco's or any other grocer.
Do NOT get 1.4, IMHO underpowered, had one for a short while, soon swapped to 1.6. There is a 1.8 but they are fairly rare.
For 1400 should get you an 05 with about 70K (well can in Notts) 06 better as facelift & certain improvements. High Mileage doesn't affect these much.
Clutches usually last 90 -100K

Now go through the Honest John faults & their cures on this forum. ie heater resistor change, Windows, etc.
Let's say, I'm on my 4th Scenic, most I've spent is 110 on a clutch but then I DIY. If you don't then perhaps It's SKODA time
