Re: Should I buy a cheap scenic II?
Buy privately or off a used-dealer forecourt. Beware the home trader
Renault parts supply is not particularly efficient and some parts are pricey. A home trader is more likely to have bodged something on the cheap which on a Renault will become a significant problem a few months along the line.
Renaults are good if they are looked after. A lot of problems on this forum are from members with limited know-how, or lack of general maintenance, or new owners who have bought a car with unexpected problems.
You may wish to check the availability of workshop manuals, there are no
manufacturer or Haynes type manuals produced for several models of Renault, so this forum is essential for supporting advice. Good Luck with whatever make you opt for.
Don't take without giving in return
