- both only have one key though - if I have one key I presume I can get another made up by cloning it?

These are Keycard motors. It cost us £160 for a new card & programming. If you only have one & it fails, (can be repaired for £25) you are carless whilst it's away. Cannot be cloned.
What ages are these cars, dealer or Private? I understand the 1.9 dCI are the better engine.
Don't be in a rush, there's an ideal car with your name on it & those above sound dodgy. The usual reasons for one key is repossession or Category C / D write off.
