Yeh, the 2 button key card is bonkers on the Espace! It's like they just completely designed it upside down.
I need to change a couple of the microswitch buttons and will replace the batteries while I am at at so will check where it is safe to drill. I'm an electronics engineer by profession so the soldering is not a problem. Incidently the dry joints you talk about tends to be on the
