If your earlier Clio sunroof is like the later models the glass alone can be removed. Open the sunroof to the first position. Push in a small red latch on the handle using a screwdriver and with a little bit of fiddling the whole handle comes away from the catch. You then simply lift up the glass from the rear outside and at about 45 degrees it comes out. Really easy to do. Wont cause any leaks just don't drop the glass! Have some cloths setup somewhere to rest it on. I then use the grease on the front runners and replace. Although using the plastic pipe described to shut up the rattle it's causing a strain which long term may not be good.
My Renault dealer also greases the runners at the front NOT the catch itself.
