Imho, I don't think bonnets should open at any speed.
Hoever due to exessive wear & tear they might.
If this is a design flaw, Renault should have their ar5e sued right down to the point where they are liable or replacement of all flawed bonnet hatches.
Mud, grit, dirt, oiling, greasing or lack of any of those should not be even considered as an excuse, just as the transfer of responsibility to dealerships. If problem is with the design, the manifacturer should be hanged by the balls. Only when the problem is with the mainetnance the problem should be referred to the dealer, that's what I think.
Still that Clio got the homologation.
Can't it be appealed through a court order or something then?
