Electric wing mirror replacement on Megane II
I knocked the passenger side wing mirror off my mkII Megane but managed to find a cheap replacement on
. The Haynes manual recommends I disconnect the battery, but this comes with all kinds of nuisance with the stereo and the engine management and all the rest.
Is it essential to disconnect the battery to replace the mirror or just a precaution? Are the risks to me or the car? If it's a big deal I'll probably buy one of those state save devices but obviously I'd prefer not to unless it's essential.
