Re: Scenic - Failure to release parking brake following rear pads replacement
First of all Search the forum, you ain't the first & won't be the last.
You need to pull the emergency brake release in the boot IF you have one?. Then use the resetting procedure. The stripping the EPB box down thread, recently reposted is the last ditch cure.
I presume both rear calipers work OK & all the air is out.
Which calipers are they, is the EPB a cable type or do you have wiring to the Calipers? If the latter, then it's a Diagnostic trip to Renault to tell the car, that the brakes are different now.
I too have a problem, I wound back the calipers but did not disconnect the handbrake cables (the cables are the physical cable type) - now the electronic handbrake does not work (the foot brakes work okay).
I have pulled the emergency handbrake cable and reset the handbrake several times but this has made absolutely no difference.
Is there anything else I can do or do I have to stripdown the EPB box?
