On the right hand side of the rev counter there is a column of warning lights. The immobiliser light is the second one up (i think) and looks like this
You'll know what i mean when you see it! lol.
Anyways, lock and unlock the car using the central locking and double check that the car is open when you put the key in the ignition. Turn the key as far as it will go without turning the engine on. When the battery light and handbrake light etc come on the immobiliser light should flash and then stay lit for a couple of seconds before going out. It's best to start the engine after the light has gone out. If the light flashes continuously and does not stay on permanantly then the engine is not miobilising.
