Re: loud road noise after new bearings
Providing it goes quiet on smooth surfaces it's probably just tyre roar.
Some tread patterns can make a lot of noise on coarse tarmac.
If it was a problem with a bearing it would still make a noise on smooth surfaces.
All cars do it to a point and it's most noticable on motorways when going from an old surface to fresh new tarmac and the other way round.
One minute you're shouting at your passengers then suddenly it goes almost silent and you can talk normally.
Get your car airborne and it's a similar thing apart from all the screaming.
