The first thing to try is look under both front seats(as you have already done). With the ignition OFF,Disconnect and reconnect all the wire connections, and check that the wires haven't chaffed on the seat runners. This is quite a common problem especially if you either move the seats foward and back often or if you store anything under seats(which you shouldn't do!!).If this doesn't have the desired effect then take it to a garage with code reading ability(doesn't have to be main dealer). They should be able to diagnose the fault with in minutes and then advise of cost involved.Don't be tempted to remove the airbag or the seat belt pretensioners to have a look at them. They have explosive charges in them and they are best left to the people in the know.
