Hi all. Its been a few weeks now and am updating you on my smokey DCI.
After changing various components as explained in recent threads I took the plunge and sent my injectors away to get reconditioned.
I did ask the offical Bosch repairer about reconditioning them and they told me they don't recondition direct injection injectors as they are to complicated!!!!
I got the injectors back put them in and at idle seemed less smokey, you could actually smell the difference..
I got it on an emission machine and got instead of 7ppm's I got 2.49ppm's and went through the test first time..
At last its sorted and its a big headache out the way...
It just goes to show, they were the first thing I suspected but I myself have never changed injectors for heavy black smoke.. If anyone has the same problem its worth getting the injectors checked at least first before any work is done...
Thanks everyone for your help and advice and I hope this helps others also.
