I'm afraid you wont get much help from Renault they like many main dealers are only out to make as much money as they can. Normal i know, but never the less not write. I had know choose in the end but to pay them 300 for new keys and a decoder which was probably fine and only needed a simple code put back in, but when technicians are on bonus for parts its pretty obvious that they will up there wages by putting in for new parts even if not needed which is also good for Renault so why should they care?
Perhaps they should think of the long term affects of such tactics as for one will never put another Renault on my forecourt and certainly wont steer any body in the direction of buying a Renault.
You only have to look at second hand prices to see that very few people want an ageing Renault, you have a job giving them away.
