It does not appear to be drawing any air, as the two pipes to the High pressure pump are clear, and I can see no bubbles in the system.

There is no priming bulb on the system, its meant to auto bleed.

I will clean and re-seat all connections tomorrow and see what effect it has on the noise.

I read on the renault disc, that I should have primed the system a few times by turning the ignition on and off and then revved the engine with no load on several times aswell.
Maybe this clears any residual air trapped anywhere.
