The 910 has the SirfstarIII chipset, which can supposedly even pick up a signal indoors. The heat reflective windscreen in the Lag should be no problem for it at all.

Though the external antenna for the One/510/710/910 is a lot cheaper than it was for the older models, so you could always buy one of these and see if it solves the problem.

It might be worth checking out other users opinions on a sat-nav related forum. is a good one.

Edit: Here's an antenna on eBay (only 18 mins left to run.) Currently at 3.99 with around a fiver for P&P. Tomtom Go 510 710 910 External Antenna Ariel Booster (item 170124241900 end time 26-Jun-07 14:14:41 BST)
