Re: Scenic electronic handbrake failed after pad change

This is the relay i ordered:

Interesting that your motor was all gummed up - that seems to be a common problem according to the chap on ebay that recons them....i'm trying to source a replacement motor as well but kinda drawing a blank apart from a completed listing on ebay .de but i'll keep my eye seems its a standard Johnson Electric unit.

Sounds like yours is all fine now - maybe try the reset procedure to see if that clears the fault code on the dash? Or maybe a standard code scanner can do that??

The issue about the part numbers has intrigued me as well - there seems to be loads of different ones and i've read somewhere that the auto and manual units are different but i think all 5 seat ones are the same and all grand scenics are the same as well as there seems to be only one part number for each model for a brand new one.

Would be good to nail some of the myths and mystery that surround these units
