You should turn the key one way about 90 degrees and then back the other way (about 180 degrees) and that should unlock the door. Central locking ONLY works from the central button or the remote and NOT from the doors.
I tried this - and unfortunately it didn't work - I could just (with a bit of imagination) feel a slight click as the barrel went past the vertical - asif something was trying to catch in place to hold everything still - but failed. Same now with boot lock - so I only have the passenger door lock available to me - and tonight this turned 3 or four times before sticking and letting me unlock.
Please - is there any way of lubricating / repairing whatever mechanism there is to enable me to unlock / lock reliably???
Oh - I also removed IR sensor - its dry as a bone in there and all contacts look clean and shiny - so its not going to be a simple fix!!!
