Re: Renault Laguna II - Interiors - Climate Illumination - Auto Climate Version

Hello forum! I just signed up to say that I had the same problem on my car. Bought it about 3 weeks ago (2004 model, approx 60k km), and had problems with the backlight flickering on and off (mostly off).

Last week I took out the unit as instructed, and inspected the board, especially resistor 101 in the top right corner. I could not see any signs of damage, and with my multimeter measured 101 Ohms over the resistor. I concluded with the problem being elsewhere, and since I couldnt find anything, put it back.

Yesterday I read about 20 more pages in this thread, and decided maybe it was worth a try anyway. So I make an amateur ugly solder drop on each side of the resistor, reassemble and refit the unit.

And as you probably guessed, it works! Nice and bright AC panel now! Thank you all for finding this solution and documenting the fix!
