The main problem was the weight of the hub and suspension leg was too much for to lift and move on my own - it was only when a stronger mate came to help that we could do it -the outside universal joint rubber gasket rests on the heads of the new bolts you've just put in (to line up with the ball joint bracket) so the danger is that you tear the gasket trying to wiggle it about, unless you lift it clear - when you do lift it even with the luggage strap on you can't easily either turn the brake disk nor apply much inward pressure by yourself you need a mate underneath wiggling the shaft.
