very silly system where they can pull you over and confirm you insurance and mot details remotely but a fixed local dvla centre need pieces of paper you could understand that need from the post office....
Just curious but are you sure my insurance is invalidated? I checked my policy wording (certificate still has my previous car details on so is no good) and it doesn't mention anything about having valid car tax/vechical licensing. Just surprised the police man let me off and continue on my way once confirming my insurance and mot details if it would have been invalid, I even told him I was on my way to relativies before returning home.
