Hi Norm - I think what Renault where saying was that if you replaced the sensors and were not referring to the tyres. Many Renault owners have had their tyres replaced without having to go to the dealers for a reprogramme. I suggest you fit some plastic valve caps PDQ as the sensor valves are very prone to corrosion (under no circumstances use metal caps). I have had 3 tyres replaced recently by a local tyre dealer nd have had no problems although he did warn me that one of the valves was begining to show signs of corrosion.
